Lately in Southern California, a select group of responsible, deticated, Integra owners have been getting together to carve up the s-curves in our local canyons.

From 'Honda Tuning' published in winter 2010 (click image for "full" readable image):

----------------------------------------------------

Check out the pictures and videos to get a sense for the runs, but first:

THESE ARE NOT RACES. THESE ROADS ARE VERY TECHNICAL AND YOU CAN SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF OR OTHERS IF YOU DRIVE IRRESPoNSIBLY. THE STREETS ARE NOT FOR PUSHING THE LIMITS!

With that out of the way...

If you want to track your car, do it on your time. This is for the beauty of the roads and a little bit of fun. The last thing anyone wants out of this is to get injured, or to injure someone else. So feel free to post, PM or just show up based on the info here, and if you've got some awesome place that you think we're missing, tell us! Cheers, and drive safe!

Places the Canyon Runs have taken us:
- Mulholland Raceway in the Santa Monica Mountains
- Glendora Mountain Road
- Angeles Crest Historical Highway
- Ortega Highway
- Highway S22
- Little Tujunga Canyon Road

seems interesting. hows the road conditions? my cars kinda slammed in the front lol
well, it's good enough for ferrari's and lambos so im pretty sure you'll be alright. topanga canyon blvd got re-paved with that recycled-tires asphault so it's the best road quality there is. stunt road, kinda sketch, but old topanga and mulholland are pretty damn good.

I would be pretty down tomorrow. Around what time do you estimate you would be going up the canyon? I am in LA its pretty close right?

Hopefully I can grab a few friends to go too since we have all be wanting to go to the beach and roads around there.

That looks like a fun road.

I do Ortega Highway a couple times a month. It gets a little crowded though sometimes. And the last time I went out a couple weeks ago, they were doing road work - stopping traffic on both sides for 10-15 minutes at a time so they could carve rumble strips into the center line on the Riverside County section.

that is awesome. what time do you go on saturdays? do you go on any other days?

it really depends on how well my friday night went! haha. i am trying to get my 8 hour shift off on sundays or at least half of it covered so i can go for the afternoon session on sunday but as of right now i just go on saturday mornings, earlier the better, stay until 3p then a mad dash for work.

yeah, i grew up in temecula and went to school in riverside, had a lot of buddies do ortega all the time and for some that road was quite literally a death trap, i think this is a much less stressful run, but hit me up this saturday and see for yourself.

like ive said before, just because i go up there at 7-8am on a saturday doesnt mean you have to. im happy to meet up with people on PCH at 10, 11, 12 whatever. just know that the later you go the more sloOb's there will be.

post here or PM me and we can text if you wanna run. cheers!

Yea - same thing with Ortega - the earlier, the better. They have done a lot of improvements to it over the last couple of years. Sections of it have been widened with walls put up where people used to go over the side. So it's less of a "death trap" now, but still plenty dangerous if you push too hard.

yeah, as is any public road. this one in particular has a lot of motorcycles (that's what the rock store is famous for) and cars are really just starting to get the idea. GTR's and Ariel Atoms, ferraris, lambos, evos, STIs, porches, Mseries beemers.... all on the same road as dudes with 10 speeds.

this is why we stand at the apex on sundays at yell at people to stay in their lanes.

and the roads up here are being improved too, topanga canyon blvd was just repaved with that recycled-tire asphault but they've yet to get to stunt or some other roads. mulholland is in pretty darn good condition after a recent repave too.

I think people need a few weeks to get the day off / plan for this early morning run lol.. so im going to set the next official date for April 11th. That should be enough leeway for everyone to adjust their schedules and get the day off of work or whatever.
this is about an hour from me. id be down to go on a saturday, but the problem is getting other members to be down to wake up at 7 AM for this lol.. . Any other members that would like to set up a caravan down to this on a saturday lets get it going.

1)Chsimok818 pre meet
2)flux818 pre meet

* to the op, sorry you couldnt make it to the autobacs meet, we were hoping u could make it to our pre meet !
