When my subwoofer is bumping, the vibrations through the car make my rearview mirrow rattle and it sounds really annoying. Has anyone had this problem? What would you suggest I do to silence it?

you dont have to be rude... i already thought about that. but where would i put the dynomat? it seems like if i put dynomat inside the mirror itself, it wouldnt solve the fact that the mirror rattles where it connects to the little ball thing

Try taking off your mirror and tightening it back on, it may be loose/getting loose from the beat.

Obviously its going to shake when you bump, but if everything is ok with how the mirror is installed, there isnt really anything you can do besides taking the stock one off and maybe putting/sticking on one of those universal ones to hang off the front windshield...even then you may run into problems.

Try coming up with a solution yourself, DIY fixes are great...then you can post it up on TI and get credit :)

i also have a 10" type r and my mirror vibrates but doesnt rattle. and the rear view mirror comes off and tightens fairly easily (found this out by being too excited to be out of school and ripping it off when i threw my back pack in lol) if i remember correctly the plastic cover just pops off and there is a metal plate holding it on with 2 or three philips screws and then when you take those off you can tighten the post to the plate with another philips screw underneath that.

try some foam tape right where the mirror attaches to the mount.

I've put a system in every car that I've owned, put Dynomats, added extra bushings/washers, and so far Integs are THE tightest cars ever built! And I don't mean "TOYGHT". I mean, nothing rattles!

Sounds like you just need to tighten the mirror up. Otherwise, if it's the actual mirror, check out eBay. They have everything for our cars! Cheap!

subs + car = rattling and vibrations

get used to it every system does it, no way ive ever heard of completely eliminates it. all 3 of my mirrors shake. no way around it other than loosing the woofer.

Just deal with it. Cause and effect, it's simple.

... You can try some of what has been suggested, but I don't think it will fix the problem. It will just temporarily "mask" it instead most likely.

Pretty much. And if it's doing that to your mirror imagine what it's doing to other bolts on your car.

I cant figure out how to get the mirror off. I tried popping it off, but it gave me too much resistance so I stopped because I didnt want to break anything.

My car does really well with vibrations. The whole car is dynomatted and the only thing that vibrates in the whole car is my rearview mirror and my rear bumper vibrates a TINY bit.
