When my subwoofer is bumping, the vibrations through the car make my rearview mirrow rattle and it sounds really annoying. Has anyone had this problem? What would you suggest I do to silence it?
I wanna shake my car but I dont want my car to shake.airtrixxx1080 on Dec/18/06 said:Lowering the subwoofer would only remove the reason I got it in the first place... to make loud bump lols
thats prolly the best idea yettony4311 on Dec/19/06 said:try some foam tape right where the mirror attaches to the mount.
Pretty much. And if it's doing that to your mirror imagine what it's doing to other bolts on your car.GSRevs on Dec/19/06 said:Just deal with it. Cause and effect, it's simple.
... You can try some of what has been suggested, but I don't think it will fix the problem. It will just temporarily "mask" it instead most likely.
My car does really well with vibrations. The whole car is dynomatted and the only thing that vibrates in the whole car is my rearview mirror and my rear bumper vibrates a TINY bit.TegTyme on Dec/18/06 said:Try taking off your mirror and tightening it back on, it may be loose/getting loose from the beat.
Obviously its going to shake when you bump, but if everything is ok with how the mirror is installed, there isnt really anything you can do besides taking the stock one off and maybe putting/sticking on one of those universal ones to hang off the front windshield...even then you may run into problems.
Try coming up with a solution yourself, DIY fixes are great...then you can post it up on TI and get credit
I cant figure out how to get the mirror off. I tried popping it off, but it gave me too much resistance so I stopped because I didnt want to break anything.
