I can post up pics later but im sure you other integra owners have ran into this problem. I was changing my spark plugs and as you know you have to pull pretty hard on the wire to get it out, but when i pulled some of them out it seems the metal piece from the rubber tube is stuck on the spark plug, so i pulled it off with a plier and stuck it back in the tubing and forced it on my new spark plugs, but the problem is that now the wire cover part wont go all the way down and sticks out a little... should i just buy new wires? The car is running great.... for now =\

put a little dielectric grease on the tip of the spark plugs so that this may be avoided. Make sure to twist it off not pull straight up. If its running okay, you dont need to replace, all though it sounds like you should. Depending on how bad the damage is, you run the risk of misfires because the electricity will ground it self before the spark plug fires. Good Luck!

ahhhh bad news... today my car died and I found out my distributor is no longer good, probably caused from me not buying new wires because the metal thing came out of the wpark plug wire when i pulled it out and i just pushed it back in, not knowing it had to be crimped onto a wire....cost...$330 =[

Damn.. that really sucks. But if it makes you feel any better, you would of had to replace the coil soon anyway if it died that quick from the wires grounding out.

My car was bogging and misfiring so bad for about a week. I went replaced EVERY thing, even did the timing belt and it still ran like crap. My plug wires were the Accel 8mm hyped out expensive ones that the previous owner had on the car, and the looked fine, so I didn't replace them. I had a mechanic friend look at the car, and while he was pulling a wire off the plug, the insulator cracked off and got stuck on the plug. Then, i was forced to go buy new wires, and it was them all along. I was misfiring and running on 3 cylinders for a week.
