when i first get in and turn on my car (93 LS), it idles around 1700 rpm... i know in the article for adjusting your idle speed, it says a good 750 + or - 50 rpm is where it should be warmed up. i was wondering, since the article is for a G3, is there anything much different in changing my idle speed for my G2? its kinda creepy when my idle is almost 1000 over the normal.
another thought... is it ok to wait about 30 seconds before putting the car in gear, or should i wait and let it warm up before i go? i am very cautious when my engine is cold and dont accelerate fast to let it warm up, but since my car sits outside i dont know if i need to let it warm up a for a while before putting it into drive. thanks for any info
