is the transmission grounded to the frame cause it shuld be and is the motor grounded too?, usually by the headlight. make sure you got those grounds. if it still doest start id say make sure your connectors are all clipped together, and if it still wont start its sumthing else. spark plugs, dist. cables etc.

i bought a 92 integra gs and car had no main ground wire to battery

I have no engine ground at all, I took a 4 gauge car audio neg. wire and connected to battery band other side to bare metal in trunk (which is where battery is located) and I got it to fire twice, first time ran fine n died after 5 mins. and 2nd time died after 2 mins. all my lights work including instrument panel, no check engine, its cranking a little slow but fine but won't turn over.. starter is good and grounded and getting full power, and everything else is in great workin order.. is my ground not strong enough? do I have to go off valve cover ground? am I missing crucial secondary ground wires (ignition, tranny, eld3p harness clip) that must be connected to the main ground? any advise or opinions at all would be great, I am really stumped on this !

There should be a ground strap from the right corner of the valve cover to the block and one coming off the negative battery cable to the trans, as well as the starter having a ground of its own.
the starter grounds itself when bolted into the trans....

The "ground" from the valve cover doesn't really ground anything at all FYI...it's only purpose is for jump starting. Don't start a debate about it either. It's commonly known that that ground doesn't change the performance of the engine at all.

you would have more success making a thread listing all of your issues in an easily readable manner than bumping a 4-5 year old thread.
