i put my brand new distributor from my old engine on it....LSDriver98 on Aug/11/09 said:Have you checked the coil in the distributor? This would cause no spark, and since you just swapped motors, it could be bad and you don't know it...
the starter grounds itself when bolted into the trans....BrokenTalon27 on Aug/12/09 said:There should be a ground strap from the right corner of the valve cover to the block and one coming off the negative battery cable to the trans, as well as the starter having a ground of its own.
The "ground" from the valve cover doesn't really ground anything at all FYI...it's only purpose is for jump starting. Don't start a debate about it either. It's commonly known that that ground doesn't change the performance of the engine at all.BrokenTalon27 on Aug/12/09 said:There should be a ground strap from the right corner of the valve cover to the block and one coming off the negative battery cable to the trans, as well as the starter having a ground of its own.
