Will claybar remove paint?

Long story short, park at school, went to class came back and saw white stuff on the side. I'm pretty pissed, but when I looked closer my paint wasn't scratch off. I think it belongs to a car that hit me. I tried washing it with soap, but it only got a little off. Will the claybar remove the other car's paint?

Most likely no. Claybar removes dirt & other properties in your paint. Something like paint will not come off with a claybar. Clean off the area and use rubbing compound to remove the paint. Then buff to a shine.

If it still does not come off, it will need to be watersanded and then buffed. Take it to a professional, I've seen too many people mess something as simple as this up.

I wouldn't write off the clay that fast. It's pretty amazing stuff. However, there is no doubt in my mind that a little dab of 3M rubbing compound will take it right off. I only say the clay might do it because you say you got a little off with soap and water, so the paint probably isn't rubbed on that bad. Try the clay first.

Get some ScratchX. you can get it at Target or probably anywhere else you get stuff at. Its a black tube with red letters on it. That will remove the other car's paint. Clay might be a good idea to use after you use the ScratchX. I can pretty much guarantee you that the ScratchX will remove the paint left by the other car. I use it pretty much exclusively for that purpose.

Clay bars were originally designed to take off overspray. I have taken many a barrowed paint with different grades of clay.

Scratch-X is also an excellent choice, either one should do the job with little problem.

If you have the clay on hand, try it first.
