Anyone familiar with how to do a valve lash adjustment.I need one done and the cheapest I have found in my area is 150$.

If anyone knows how to do it, I am willing to pay money, otherwise for those of you who have had it done... Is it a hard enough maintenance job to do that I should take it to a professional?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Bring it to my shop...I'll do it for way less than that (1 hr labor)

Bring a valve cover gasket with you if you want that changed at the same time.

We are in Bloomfield, not far from Montville at all.

I never did it on a vtec, but I've done it many times on non vtec tegs. It's basically the same thing and I have the helms manual.

If you buy the tool to tighten the locknut, I'll show you how to do it for free if you come to Nutley.

If you go to a shop, I'll vouche for xenocron. He's been on here for a long time and seems decent enough

I know this post is a month old but why start a new one.

Whats the average price for a Valve Lash adjustment on a B18C1 (98 GSR)?? Should be about 1 hr of labor at the shops rate

Whats the average price for a timing belt/water pump also? $600-800, parts and labor

How much if all done at the same time on a strict budget/time constraint and cant do it ourselves! some shops include valve adjustment in the labor of the timing belt

What else should be done/replaced along with the valve lash adjustment/timing belt/water pump? (cam seal, valve cover gasket, etc, etc..?) Your accessory belts, any seals that are disturbed by removing things...if they havent been done in a while, plugs, cap, rotor...and dont forget to change your headlight fluid...adds 15HP!

Thanks in advance.
