Mine (9005 conversion) just recently burned out within two days of eachother. Had them for ~1 year, 4 months.

 

A lot of people have had their Silverstars burn out quickly. I have run Silverstars for a year now and they're fine.

The problem is because the Silverstar itself is already an overdriven bulb, and then people put the 9005s in there...even worse.

Get the XtraVisions or CoolBlues (if you want that HID look)...they last a lot longer.

 

like I said, my PIAA's have been working fine for almost 2 years. they are piaa's whitest bulb so they have that hid look.

 

ive had sylvania silverstars before. they burned out pretty quick but i thought it had to do with the way they were handled when installed.

 

My silverstars have been working for at least 8 months without issues.

Are they just burning out, or breaking?
You sure he's not touching the bulb or anything like that?
The oils from your fingers can cause the bulbs to break.
