im having a tick in my engine. i did a valve lash adjustment not too long ago and im trying to figure out why my engine is still ticking. im aware of the fact that my engine has 160,000 miles on it. but this is an odd tick.
to me it sounds like its coming from the block not the head. standing in front of the car it seems to be coming from the area down near the dipstick.. the tick goes up as the rpm's increase. im just not sure if its the valves or a rod knock... i have been beating on my car lately after a couple autox's hitting the rev limiter once or twice by accident. what do you all think? do you have any clips of the 2 sounds? its definately not injector tick.
