Sorry, I can't help much but my tranny does the same thing (GSR) and i have to let off the clutch and push it in again and pull shifter "more into reverse and it will work.

 

that happens to my car a lot..what i do is push the clutch down all the way and when you get it to the reverse gear and it wont go in start letting out the clutch slowly and it should slip into place.

 

Try shifting to 1st or 3rd then go to reverse. It actually eases it a lot better before going to reverse and there's no grind whatsoever.

 

lets just say it is pretty common throughout all the integras...even mine

This sounds silly, but it's actually very helpful.

Hitting 1st before reverse is always a good practice—this will slow down the synchronizers, making the switch to reverse much easier. I’ve tried to hit 1st before reverse in my 2001 Integra GSR since it was new, to prevent wear. I also change my MTF every 15-20K. At 74K, my GSR's tranny still feels new.
