Rear Calipers: Rebuild or Replace?

My e brake doesn't seem to work at all. I've tried tightening the cable (and noted that the right cable was slack while the left was taught pre tightening) so I'm going to assume the rear calipers are sticky and need either replaced or rebuilt.

How worthwhile is rebuilding a rear caliper in these things? I've rebuilt the front 4 pistons in a C3 corvette but thats an entirely different animal.
Some people tend to just always replace a caliper if they are getting crusty, but as long as you aren't throwing fresh o rings into an already grimy caliper bore it doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. I still have no idea if that will do anything for the e brake mechanism, which is the actual source of the issue in any event.

Fair enough, that's what i figured. I've heard EP3 rear brakes work for a slight upgrade at the cost of being annoying to install and service, but they use the same or "similar" mounting bracket with slightly larger rotors. I'll compare costs and make a decision.

For the time being I guess I'm stuck parking in only flat places where the car won't turn the motor over when parked in gear..

Centric Left Rear Remanned Caliper

Centric Right Rear Remanned Caliper

$105.79 each, $211.58 before shipping off of Rock Auto. Core is $50 each. Send in your old rears when you're down to get $100 back. Centric using Nissin calipers, which are the same brand our cars come with from the factory. Did mine last year to and they fit and work flawlessly.
