- should i consider it?
i'd still have to buy an amp right? - what's the difference between WRMS and RMS?
Aren't 10" subs considered small?
Will this make my windows rattle like hell?

Thanks

Make your 'windows' rattle? That wont happen until you have several subs in your car. And with 180 watts, I dont think anything will rattle at all, not much at least. I would get something better for a little more money, with car audio, its worth it.

10 inch subs arent bad, they just dont play as low as 15's, but they have very good bass response.

I have two kenwood tornado's, works great, both 10 inches, running off a 300 watt amp and 50 watts coming out my pioneer deck.
when volume is at about 11 the whole car vibrates like hell, rear view mirror is absolutely useless, side mirrors are sorta useless. however my windows dont rattle, not thats noticable anyway so u'd need like a 15 inch audiobahn woofer to shake ur windows

My 2 12's pretty much bang the hell outta my car once i turn the SUM control up past 25 ( goes to 30, its a remote amp gain from my rfx deck ). My windows start rattling and u can feel air pressure building up inside the car... I dont do it often, makings driving a kinda hard when u cant concentrate cause your eyes arent focusing right =).

Cjanik... you know that those are peak ratings and don't really mean anything, right? You're going to want to be looking at RMS.

Also, for $125 it sounds like a decent deal. sh*t, its got an amp in there, and its included in the box! That will save you a lot of hassle bud! I had some petra subwoofers that I'm sure no one has heard of around here, but it was unbelievable how hard those things hit!

Just make sure you can test it out before you buy it. It may be a very nice sub. And if all else fails, that box and the enclosed amp are prob worth close to the $125... you can to to a place like www.carstereotime.com or www.justcaraudio.com and buy something like an audiobahn for pretty cheap...

Of course this setup prob isn't going to compare to the systems that cost three times as much that people are comparing them too. That's like saying "I'm going to buy a Hyundai, how's this one?" then someone replying "Well its going to be slower than my teg..."

id rather save up another 100 or so and get some brand new name brand stuff. most likely it wont be enough for you and youll end up selling it and upgrading. this happens 99% of the time. so just save yourself the trouble. power doesnt come cheap.

a 15 wont hit lower than a 10. a 12 wont hit lower than a 8. it all depends on the sub and enclosure

Well, i'm not a hardcore audio enthusiast, and i never originally planned to get a sub

I just reckon it'll be nifty to 'feel' the bass...

I'd need a seperate amp for the front and rear speakers if i got the sub box thing wouldn't I?

My friend's got a brand new 2002 Golf, which has 8 speakers, with components in the front and back, ALL stock.. I think his HU is 4x 40, and the sound coming out sounds pretty good to me...

So, even though i want to hear my bass, i don't want to go all over the top with it.

In my oppinion that sub isn't too great of a deal If you plan on getting something used you should be able to find a better deal than that. It depends how serious you are about your audio equipment. If you jsut want something that will shake the car a little go for it. The setup doesn't LOOK too bad though
