i did search the site, lots of great info just not exactly what i was looking for. sorry for ****load of questions, but i need help. thanks

hey guys i need some opinions on some struts and springs/coilovers. right no i got gsr shocks and ground control coilovers on my car right now. and im pretty slammed, i scrap my header everywhere. im lowered almost all the way on the ground controls in the front, but i dont know how low that is maybe 3 to 4 inchs? and the back is about a 1in higher than the front. my stock gsr shocks are blown so i need to upgrade them, also my ride is really bouncy and my shocks dont absorbe **** they bottom out. and i heard the ground control coilovers are really bouncy. true?

i can get 4 koni yellows used for about 3 months with about 7k miles for $300 maybe $250. Is that a good price?

My car is a daily driver and i street race/drag race on weekends. i dont do any drifting or auto x or anything like that.

im just looking for some comfortable springs or coilovers to go with the koni yellows if i buy the koni(which i will buy).

and i want some springs or something that are about perfect for the drop maybe 2in to 3in drop. becuase im 2 low right now and scrap everywhere so i want to higher it up a little.

do u guys think i should buy the koni yellows and use them with my ground control coilovers or sell the ground controls and get some springs? if so what springs do you guys recommend that are in the drop range of about 2in to 3in?
i want a comfortable ride and sort of stiff for handling. but i just want it to ride nice like stock.

how much do used type r struts and springs run? will they fit my gsr? how low are they compared to the gsr ones?

and when i make turn or take off my car squels some times i think it becuase the shocks or springs are rubbing some where could it? and some times when i take off from a dead stop depending on how much gas i give the car and how much of the clutch i let go the car starts to like hop. i think agian its the shock

Shocks blown? also i want to get some polyurathan motor mount inserts or Energy Suspension or Prothane whatever their called. any of you guys know a site i could get them off of for a great price.

SORRY FOR ALL OF THE QUESTIoNS. AND I DID SEARCH THE ENTIRE SITE AND I READ SEVERAL THREADS AND LEARNED ALOT BUT NOT EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.

THANKS!

as for the website to purchase motor mount inserts, go to inlinefour.com. They have it for like 30 bucks. And for your suspension problem, i have koni yellows and their great. But then again this is very subjective opinion. I'm running hr race springs. The spring rate is somewhere on this site. I think 460f/360r
Why won't you just raise the setting on your car when you get the Yellows?

i could raise he setting on my ground controls when i get the koni yellows. but i just thought that the ground controls are really bouncy and maybe they add to the bounce on my car. if the ground controls highered up a little witht he yellows will give me a comfortable ride then i will just keep them. u think they will? and what does koni recommend on their yellows on how much not to lower the car past?

thanks for reply can i get some more opinions and or suggestions to what i should do. thanks

i think you need to do a little bit more searching.

without a properly matched shock, ANY spring could be really bouncy. take an undervalved shock for even stock integra springs and they'll bounce all over. shocks do nothing except to dampen the springs.

you'll run into issues pairing a GC setup with koni's. you will need to call GC and ask for a sleeve that can pair with koni shocks.

I personally do'nt liek ground controls. I forgot what spring rates I got them in, maybe i got the ones that were too soft for my application.

I used to ride on KGB AGX shocks w/ GCs, lowered to a little less than 1 finger gap. It was bouncy, and sometimes would bottom out. Since I had some cheap coilovers (Max Speed i think) laying around. I switched to that and now the ride is so much better.

KYB shocks are not warranted on anything aftermarket. stock springs only. 1 finger gap also seems like you are beyond the useful damping travel of the AGX shocks, which could explain why the ride was crappy. did you play around with the adjustability? a lot of people have good experiences with GC's paired with AGX's and koni's. a few autoXers use custom rated GC's with koni's.
