if you can't tell from the title..........
it's the thing where you slide back and forth to control the temperature of the air........................

my thing is busted. at first it has resistance and unable to move out of its position as if there was some kind of unalignment of some sort inside... and then one day i got semi-pissed and sorta slid it really hard and it felt like some **** just disengaged... now it cane freely move around but, no heat turns on and theres pretty much NO resistance..

now i'm wondering if theres anyway i could dismantle the thing and sorta re-engage the regulator or some ****..
or is it one of those replace ****s..

and if so, how do you remove it ??

my ac works and all but now it's about to be winter i can't get the heat on..

I had this issue but just replaced the whole climate control unit. While replacing I noticed the cable for that control was bent which made it tough to move the switch. That's prolly your issue. Double check to see that the cable didn't disengage at the other end as well, underneath the left hand side of glove box.

Nope, it's a cable. If you stick your head down on the passenger side floorboard and look up under the dash (in the direction of the clock) you should see the other end of the cable. It's got a little metal loop on the end, which goes around a metal stick that is part of the lever it moves when you slide the control.

For now you can manually move that lever to get it where you want it until it's fixed.
