Now for my questions.
The steering column is hanging down nothing looks broken? how to fix?

the car is an 00 with a chipped key. the part where you put the key still fits the key but it is broken off the other part that holds it to car. how do you go about putting this piece into a new one to use stock key.

also the chipped key box was ripped off i put most of it back together and put the keying together (gotta hold it together) and i also can put the key in and the car will crank but sounds like its not gettign spark.

when the theives stole the car they took plugs outta the ecu to bypass the chipped key im guess i put them all back in

no wires were cut **** was unplugged and the key parts were pretty messed up.

any suggestions besides take it to the dealer. thats not an option because this happens to land a couple days before i leave for my cruise.

EXACT thing applies to my stolen 01 gsr. You'll need a new immobilzer ignition control module, new ecu (mine had a whole punch of plier'd chips pulled out) and if they bent the column (hard to move up/down) you'll need that too.

This is what I did.....bought a virgin ecu for my car (got mine on ebay for $110 shipped). Have a new steering column installed along with a new immobilzer ignition control module and ignition switch (probably get a new key) and have the ecu reprogrammed to match the new ignition control module in your ignition. This way you'll be able to start it up. I got this done at the dealer, mine took the ecu and reprogrammed it for me.

If push comes to shove, look up an OBD2a ecu, and ignition switch set, and swap them in. It should start, but there will be no immobilizer and you wont have matching keys. If your ecu is still okay by any chance them hit the dealer and find out how much for the whole ignition switch assembly. Its everything that bolts to the steering column with a fat wire harness on it that plugs up ot the fusebox. That should solve most of your problems. Also you can have the dealer recode your doorlocks and trunklocks so your car still uses only 1 key for all the locks. I believe all of this runs about 550-600 dollars but the prices may have changed for the parts since my car was stolen.

I removed the key cylinder portion (the part they break so that there is no steering lock) and then bought the same assembly from a junk yard and then switched out my key cylinder into the new one so that the car would still work off of the original key...very simple...not a problem.

^^^ I told him this in my post. Of course another ecu was used and of course i won't mention which for obvious reasons. Thieves are ****ing retards, if they actually knew what they were doing your ecu should be perfectly fine and untouched but instead they **** it up and end up not using. If I cought someone touching my car again i'll shoot em.
