I was one of the street racers in the early 2000s. 1990 CRX Si and a 1994 civic hatch. both sold YEARS ago.
I have a son now, and he decided to go into auto mechanics(when your kids ACTUALLY make you proud). so I’ve been hunting around for something cheap that I understand and stumbled across an ad on Facebook.
97 Acura TL 2.5 - $300
o_O sure, let’s give it a look.
open the ad, look at the very first picture and realize….dude has NO clue what he has.
cause what IM seeing, is a 1993 integra with a moonroof and alloys.
now I’ve just changed jobs, money is riDICULously tight. I send the message.
longer story short:
come get the car before the trailer park has it towed away.
i am the man, that got my 16 yr old an ENTIRELY BONE STOCK 93 integra LS special…FOR FREE!

first things first, gotta get it rekeyed cause we don’t even know the state the engine is in.
i was so happy when i opened that hood today and saw that(incredibly filthy yet) absolutely beautiful b18 underneath.

I get it back home, and i'm told that i can't keep it where we parked it. Still no key, mind you...so i go about my merry way ripping out the bezel trim and the column cover, so i can cut a slot into the shear bolts and get the column lock out of the way. at least then, i'll be able to steer the damn thing. lol.
Now we're waiting on a WAY to move it to where we can work on it.

SO, finally got the boy down here to the car. first time we've looked at anything, even checking the oil.
we pop the spark plug wires off, they're covered in oil, it's sitting ontop of the plugs....(awesome...right?)
we check the oil, just to see...it's way over...smell it...****...We've got fuel in our oil....
idea ahead of time guys? starting points?
please dont say to drain the oil....that's just an obvious requirement...
