Well if you got money to spare the best way you can go is a B18C block, resleeved with some fatty ductile iron sleeves (golden eagle etc), then bored out to 2.0 L. The extra oil squirters etc might make it worth the extra bling

I have always been wondering that would a GSR turbo make more power or a b20 turbo. Can anyone help on this?

Hey guys just wanted to update this post! I had to change my name from Blacklotus to Eraserhead beacuse I lost my password! ANyhow I got the B20z Block and just ordered a http://www.dh-racing.com/ Port and polished B18B Head!!! I am going to get a custom turbo kit through johnisenglish at his web sitehttp://www.davidenglish.com/swift/Turbo_Kits/turbo_kits.htmlI am getting the Comprehensive Kit!! Holla back with what you think about this setup.

PS: I only want to run 6-8 PSI

ive seen stock internal b20's dyno in at 300whp with good tune and good turbo setup. sleeves are a little weak but 10psi should be fine.

i understand psi doesnt really mean anything but thats just the average ive seen on a stock internal b20...i know that the motor doesnt really care for a lot of boost pressure though because the sleeves being as thin as they are.

PSI is still irrelevant.

Motors dont go because of boost pressure. The stress put on the motor is measured in HP. Always

And as far as the B20 sleeves are concerned, it has less to do with the thickness of the sleeves, and more to do with the way they are cast

B18 as smaller bore compared to B20 but both have a very similar block... Its like a bored b18 block, thats why the b20 cylinder wall are thinner then in a b18

so if you run a B20 Block with an LS head and only are trying to make 275hp would that be a safe bet for daily driving? and some spirited drag racing?

yea i would think so. ls head and b20 head is the same just 2 different intake manifolds.

It depends on what B20 head you have. I have a JDM PR8 head. This head has a combustion chamber size of 84mm to match the bore size of the B20 and also has vtec size intake valves (33mm I believe) and ports. All other B20 heads are Integra LS heads.

B20 reliability comes down to engine managment and good tuning. Don't go after as much HP as the engine can take. The TQ curve is going to be nice. Just get hondata S300 and a tuner that knows what he is doing.

This is where they tend to crack

How did you spot this? Did the engine chose to drop a valve in that cyl or what? Did smoke? Just want to know how you found that huge crack before you opened her up. (I have an LS-Vtec and have had only one small opps. I dropped intake valve #2 in cyl 3 thru the piston... I was screwing around... and I heard that clanking.)
