1997 integra ls turbo project

I am contimplating installing a turbo kit on my 97 ls. It is bone stock with the no mods at all. I am in a state that requires emissions for 96 and later using the obd2. If I convert to obd1 for the ecu will that make my car illegal or unable to pass emissions?

Next, I have been researching turbos, kits, etc and am thinking about going with the godspeed turbo kit.

I know I sound like an idiot to alot of you but I am new to this. I mostly have experience with old muscle.

Got my answer offline. Decided to go with a kit from go-autoworks and a piggyback system (EMU or AEM F/IC)

Im actually in North Carolina and the kit itself isn't illegal but swapping the ecu will cause it not to pass. I will be going with the emanage piggy back with my set up.

Update on my build
Emanage ultimate aquired and pnp harness will be purchased in a few weeks. Saving for the kit after that. Going to be patient and do it right.
