Hey T-I,

I'm planning on doing a fat tune-up on my teg before Fall Quarter starts for school. Its a 95 LS-s and its got 183xxx on it. Still runs strong and I have no problems with it. Compression is great and just recently changed the axles. I plan on changing the following parts. Are there any other things I should change while I'm doing this...I'm looking for ANY suggestions. I want my teg in tip-top shape before school starts.

Timing Belt
Water Pump
Timing Belt Tensioner
Oil
Oil Filter
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
ValveCover Gasket
Spark Plug Ring Gaskets
Valve Adjustment
Fuel Filter?
Dizzy Cap
Rotor
Air Filter
Cam Seal
Power Steering Belt
Alternator Belt
A/C Belt

Is any of this unnecessary? Should I be doing anything else?
This will be my first "tune-up" so any Tips, Suggestions, ANYTHING will be GREATLY appreciated.
I love T-I. Thanks guys

Also, I want all OEM parts. Should i go through a dealer or somewhere else?

Revised Parts List

Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
ValveCover Gasket

Valve Adjustment
Fuel Filter?
Dizzy Cap
Rotor
Air Filter
Cam Seal
Power Steering Belt
Alternator Belt
A/C Belt
Coolant Flush
Tranny Fluid

So these are ALL the items I will need to get this job done? There are no other little things (ex: tensioner for timing belt)...stuff like that?

Thanks alot for the input

damn son... short of a a complete rebuild i think you're good to go... new battery? check AC pressure? oh power steering fluid...

take the "?" off of the fuel filter

get an aftermarket cam seal too, oem plastic one is FTL

clean out your cabin blower motor as well, mine always collected crap

Holy crap! I thought I was very peculiar with my maintanance! LOL.
That's an excellent list, your teg will be in great shape when u do all that.

OK Thanks a ToN guys.

Does anyone else have good experience with the Delray Dealership online?

What do you guys recommend for a quality cam seal?

I did my brakes about 7000 ago and changed my battery about 1000 miles ago so those are both good.

I will certainly add power steering fluid to the list.

I hope to pound all of this out in a weekend. Considering I have next to NO experience, does this sound reasonable? Its my DD and I"ll need it for work M-F so I cant afford any mishaps. Also, any tips on timing belt replacement/valve adjustment/ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated. I know there are a billion little tricks out there for honda work.

THANKS AGAIN T-I. This kind of support is what makes T-I SO SICK!

delray is good but charges for shipping and handling. Try magauto.com the only thing is they take a bit longer to ship if the parts aren't in stock than delray, but its free shipping over $50.

Also don't buy the spark plugs from the dealers. Go to your local kragen and ask for the standard ngk for our cars. They have the exact same part number as the honda ones and cost about half the price. I'll take a picture of this eventually and post it up sometime.

I hate to disagree with the consensus here, but the updated O.E.M. cam plug is the way to go. Not as flashy as the 3 ring aftermarket chunk of billet, but seals just fine, is less than $8, and you will not have to make an extra order.

The comment about the NGK plug wires is right on the money. The BLUE NGKs are every bit as good as factory, at a quarter of the cost.
