no it wont.would the roof rack rust my teggy?
you would be surprised how often I throw my bike on top of the car.Just a question...How many people with roof racks actually USE them? No offense to anybody, but imo (and it's just MY opinion afterall), the roof racks are another quick fad like the rear window visor. Looks cool for the moment, but real props to those who actually put stuff on thier roof racks![]()
here's my buddys teg! hes only had it a few monthsi would like to see a roof rack with a rear visor. it sounds clean.
thanks for the info on the stretch kit, I just haven't seen anybody use them to often. I will keep it then.IMHO the extenders are worth it for coupes. Without them any sort of sizable load from a couple bikes to a car top carrier can create substantial levels of forward and back "wobble" for lack of a better term. The extenders give the system more stability, especially on bumper surfaces or at freeway speeds in windy environments.
I also don't keep my rack on all the time. It takes about 5 minutes to put on or take off. I notice I get about 2-3 mpg less with the roof rack on (with the wind deflector) and the increased wind noise is horrendous.
I also see people with roof racks and ski/snowboard mounts in the summer as extremely lazy.
I haven't done it so I don't have first hand experience, but all you need is the basic universal roof rack system with Integra specific Q-Clips (for the Yakima system that is). The custom item is the surfboard strap: Yakima Surfboard Rack - QuadratecDoes anyone have experience with pitting a surfboard on a teg with a roof rack? Maybe a particular one? I have an 8' longboard that I hope to take to the beach quite often this summer and if i can make it work (safely), I'd rather not have to take my Jeep every time!
