All right, so got my car back 5 days ago from its accident (this was the damage, $1611 to fix that!!), the shop did an EXCELLENT job of (1) Fixing it and (2) Matching the paint, couldn't have asked for better

So onto the good stuff

(and before you even THINK about posting about it, yes, i have shocks and springs to rid myself of wheel gap, just haven't had time for the install yet... so save the keystrokes)

I'm always changing stuff, and i really felt like getting some different rims, so i hit up our former sponsor "EdgeRacing" located down here in miami and picked up some Falken Torque 5 rims (17x7) and some Hankook 405 tires (205/40/17)

As mentioned, i have some Koni Reds and HR Racing springs (1.75" front, 1.5" rear) that i picked up off of Joe and Ryan at NL Motoring, just waiting for the chance for the install

Moving on... one thing that was messed up on my car when i purchased it was the front bumper... looked like the previous owner ran up on a curb or something, so before I put it into the shop, i purchased a new bumper from Sunnyside Acura (not bad, $240 plus $90 to ship from CT to FL) and also picked up a Type-R Replica lip from another one of our sponsors, StreetStyler.com. the body shop charged me $300 to prep and paint them both, a price i thought was fair enough

Member DC4Kid hooked me up with a Rear Wiper Delete Plug, so took the time to remove that eyesore

Lastly I finally finished off installing some Carbon Fiber inserts from TopShop

Also waiting in the wings is the previously mentioned suspension parts PLUS I have new rotors and brakes that i bought from Jeff at PropartsUSA

All this I installed today.... tomorrow is the day to finish my system finally.... and hopefully within a few weeks find the time and place to install suspension and brake parts

Get the updated Skunk2 pro series with the bottom adjustable ball joint. They flipped the system such that you can adjust camber with a t-handle allen wrench from underneath the car (as if on an alignment lift). Much easier to work on, especially on a lowered car where top access to the UCA is limited or nonexistant.

516-05-5670 is the P/N S2 claims for the regular bottom adjustable Pro series, so your first link is fine. Amazon is using the picture for the Tuner series. Sorry for the excitement.

The blox upper control arms also work really well and adjust from the bottom.

I just replaced the passenger wheel assembly (whole entire thing), plus have the traction bars, new tie rods in and out... so lot has changed since last alignment...

Just ordered the "pro plus" kit from Skunk2, it'll be here wednesday

OK... I realize that the car needs to get re-aligned, but why the need for more adjustability (unless you are trying to get more camber than you had before or something)?

You replaced OEM tie rods w/ OEM tie rods, so no change there.

You added a traction bar which, in theory, only really affects dynamic caster.

You replaced an OEM knuckle with an OEM knuckle.

I guess I'm wondering why the car is sitting differently unless you're getting corner weighted differently or something like that.

In any event, more adjustability is good, provided that the hardware holds the adjustment under duress (aka track day abuse lol).

I've heard good things about the skunk2 pro stuff, so you should be all good once dialed in.

Thanks to dpaton for the shifter extension.... once I get car back on road I'll give it a whirl and work out price with ya...

In mine, it puts the knob almost to the climate control.
that's really high lol

What exactly is this "shifter extension"
Is it something that connects to the actual shift rod
I just put in a short shifter today that I bought a while ago and it sits at about the same height (previous one was cut by last owner so it was really low???)

I stuck my TWM shifter extension from the track car onto my DC sports short shifter in the R and it puts it at the climate control height.

I love it for track because i find it easier to down shift when blipping throttle/braking and then quickly getting the right hand back on the steering wheel for turn in (continuing to turn if i fudged the braking zone lol).

For the record, I dug around and found this:

Below is a picture of the stock shifter (bottom), the Skunk2 (middle) and the B&M (top).

B&M is about an inch and a quarter shorter than the other two.

Yep. The S2 is the longest on top and bottom, but the bearings they use can't handle weather and especially salt, and grenade after 2-4 seasons of actual daily use. It's a track unit only unless you R&R the spinny bits every 18 months.
