Deadlock is boosting on 140k I believe...no problems...boost is not what kills an engine...bad or no tuning is what kills it...

would it be safe for me to run a greddy turbo with 85k miles on the engine and chassis?
yea, like Justin said, boost is not what kills the engine, its bad tuning.

if you use the greddy blue box or the new e-manage you will be fine and safe.

Before anyone asks, 180 on all cylinders is great for a b18b with those miles...even better with a turbo on it for the last 10k. (I believe that's how long you said you've had it boosted)

Thanks Justin, yea if you keep it in good condition, it should be fine.

I'm the second owner of the car, it had 133k on the clock when I got her in 2k2.

and before anyone asks why does Brent have 210 range and mine are so much lower (185), its a b18b1 (LS) compared to b18c1 (gsr)

the gsr has higher compression. i also belive that the previous owner put a thinner head gasket on as well. my comp numbers seem a bit high.

In my experience, the engine holds up better than the tranny.
