Which Spring Compressor

Hey I'm installing some H&R OEs tomorrow and I rented a coil spring compressor from Autozone seen here except it has a fork on one end and the hooks pictured on the other

Should I have gotten the MacPherson Strut spring compressor seen here instead?

get the one on the bottom, the two seperate ones. The one on top is for springs that don't have the shock in them, but mounted somewhere else.

i have one kinda like the one on the top, it is very easy to use

But about of them should be easy to use
