can sombody tell me where this gold ring belongs.
its from kyb agx shocks. one side i did not put it on and the other side i did.. but just wondering what will happen without it.. can somone pelase tell me the order on how these parts go on. thanks bro'z

That would be the bumpstop plate. It stops the bumpstop from going past the "shaft" portion.

Are you referring to the big flat metal piece or the small metal cylinder?

The gold ring is the bumpstop collar for the Kyb's, the goldish washer looking thing is the stock strut bumpstop collar. the black ring goes on top of the dustcap

Also, in reponse to your " what would happen without it" question. I chose to use the stock collar ( the golden washer) as opposed to the kyb collar. My reasoning for this was because my bumpstops were in pretty bad condition and I feared the Kyb collar would break through the bumpstop. Everything worked out ok for me doing this...

I used the OEM bumpstop plate, i didn't use the "gold ring".
for 2 years, it works perfectly fine.
