any of you guys know can you weld on cast aluminum, my endtanks are cast and I was thinking about welding tabs on the cast tabs on the intercooler for mounting to my bumper support, any other suggestions would also be welcome, thanks

Yeah you can...just stick weld it and get a cast welding stick.

are you going to be welding this yourself? or were you going to bring this somewhere? i mean as long as you have the correct filler rod, current, gas flow, etc for the aluminum, it will weld fine!

Yes, make sure you have the right rod to do it with. Go to a welding shop and tell them what your doing it on and they will help you find one.

update: I work at my Air Guard base and I thought to go to the welding shop and see if they could help me out, they were welding aluminum when I got there so they said no prob and it was done before I knew it. Nothing like having professionals do something for you for free. Intercooler...check, one step closer to FI
