I checked my insurance rates through my agent at Nationwide today because I am buying a 2000 Integra Type R next month.

I currently drive a 1999 LS (base model).

So get this...

1999 LS (Base Model) - $229 a month.
2000 Type R (Highest Model) - $202 a month.

My insurance agent says sometimes it just happens that way. Also if anyone ever wondered if color increases or decreases your payment my agent told me it does NOT.

If you have had no accidents or tickets, then you might just have gotten a higher rating and your insurance would have went down at your next renewal anyway. Because you are interupting your current policy then you get to experience those savings now!

At least thats how my insurance would work in Canada.
