Well, I got the estimate today for the water damage to my car and it is $7875.00! So... I'm going to see if I can get the insurance to just give me a check for that amount and do the work myself. With the money I'll save in labor I will be able to add a whole lot of goodies to it. Here is the plan:

New Block - Required
JDM ITR Pistons
ITR Rods
Jun Cams and valve train
JDM ITR Tranny
New Clutch and Flywheel
New Fuel System
AEM P&P ECU
Plus all the gaskets, and required fluids/parts damaged by the water.

Suggestions welcome as to other things needed or recommended. The insurance money won't cover everything, so I will have to add some of my own money, but that's not a big deal. I'd like to add a skunk2 IM to that along with some other stuff, but I am mostly trying to focus on things that need to be installed while the engine is pulled and ripped apart. TIA

David

From what I've seen JE makes N/A pistons and rods as well. I'm just not a big fan of JDM stuff I guess. They are worth looking into.
