I have heard fantastic things about AutoRX, at: http://www.auto-rx.com/

They make an oil and transmission additive that slowly cleans your engine. This formula is unlike all the rest of the "engine flushes" as it helps renew your seals and cleans slowly, ensuring that the engine is cleaned safely.

My questions:
Has anyone used AutoRX in their oil?
Has anyone used AutoRX in their automatic transmission?

Funny, in their FAQ they even show an Integra valvetrain. http://www.auto-rx.com/pages/cleanengine.htm

I'm almost 100% sure I want to use it in the oil, but the transmission is a little more worrisome for me. Anyone used it?

Edit: That picture is cited from a forum post on the ARX website. http://www.auto-rx.com/pics/DSC01938.JPG that is the enlarged version, and here is the post:

"I've noticed an increased fuel efficiency of about 3 mpg, and I also feel less of a hesitation"

The administrator of the forum says it's ok, but I am still hesitant.
The thread in question is:

That picture is from my car after using 2 treatments of ARX. I first read about this product atBITOG. I am a firm believer in this product and will use it on the rest of my family's vehicles. I was amazed at how clean the engine was when I took off the valve cover. You should have no worries about using it in your oil.

However, I have yet to use it in an AT. The treatment for AT is to put it in for 1000 miles and then flush the transmission. The problem is that Acura says not to use a flushing machine on their trannies. In this case, the best way is to drain the tranny 3 times.

Like I've said before, ARX is definitely not cheap, but well worth the money.

I think that ARX is quite cheap, at least for the results that it produces. It's odd that many don't know about it-- and it's not in any retail stores.

Ah well, I guess I'll be picking up a few bottles-- anyone else tried it?

I've got 3 bottles sitting here waiting to be used, but no haven't had a chance to yet, due to my car being in accident, and waiting for bodyshop to fix it.
