Hey waddup guys! Can someone tell me if the ITR sway bar is a direct bolt on to a non-R?? Thanks guy

no it is not a direct bolt up to a nonr. you can get a BSQ kit or if you buy the comptech tiebar you can then put the type r swaybar on. do a search on this and you will definatly find all the information that you need.

SlimDave just do a search because there's been a lot of treads regarding this. But from personal experiance just get BSQ kit which is around $20 and u should be fine.

ive got an itr sway bar for sale if you interested (just installed one on my 98gs, messed up orders and ended up with 2)

The Type R sway bar won't work with the Comptech tie bar either. You are confusing the tie bar with the subframe brace. Comptech's subframe brace does have the effect of a tie bar but it is not a standalone tie bar. If you bought Comptech's tie bar you would get this.



It has nothing to do with the sway bar. The subframe brace that doubles as a tie bar and place to mount the sway bar is the shiny silver piece here.



They are not even close to the same thing.

Surf is correct. But just to clarify:
The lower tiebar that he shows if for ITR owners. The non-R tiebar looks like this:


It looks similar to the subframe brace needed for the swaybar upgrade but lacks that chassis reinforcements for a safe install.
