does anyone have any idea what kind of laws utah has when it comes to turbos? If i throw a turbo onto a car that was n/a from the factory, would it be street legal? cuz its not in Cali unless its greddy or some other carb exempt kit. would it need the carb exempt status in utah as well?

you should check with your local authorities on this is no one can give you a straight answer... either call or go to the police department and ask them, go to the dmv, go to the secretary of state and do your research before you take anyones word for it.

well, my local authorities are in Cali right now so I don't think that would work.... i live in CA right ow but im moving to Utah soon...yay

The GReddy kit is the only turbo kit that will pass the emission testing Utah right now. The other kits trip the computer during the emission test causing a "check engine" light to come on, causing you to fail the emission test. The GReddy kit in a word talks back and forth with your stock computer so every will check out fine.

there is no emission down here in cedar. There is a lot of places where they don't. only if you move to a big city like SLC in utah. They will have emission. I think only 7 county have the emission n utah.

Go to a speed shop, any speed shop, and ask the guy who tests his car they know where to go... speed shop guys know everything.

FYI - rumor is that Utah is looking to pass state wide emissions this year that would go into effect the first of 2004.

Hey have you been to Utah? It is a bad ass place. People talk a lot of crap about the state because of Mormons, they don't know that more that half of the population is not mormon and most of the mormons are cool anyway. And can you Snowboard in Florida????? Nope
