Mah car recently died somewhat suddenly. So, who wants to play a little detective?

symptoms: blow-by, immense pressure/smoke coming out of the oil breather, and blue smoke out of the exhaust.

head-gasket? rings? post your theories! btw, anyone have an extra b18b sittin in their garage ?

Blue smoke = oil being burned in the upper cylinder area. blow-by = piston rings leaking compression. smoke coming out of oil breather = most likely piston rings again. Your block isn't f**ked but your rings are. Looking forward to a complete engine rebuild? Well make sure while all your internals are spilt... buy some eagle rods, HC pistons, cams, valvesprings and cam gears to get some extra beef out of that motor. Good luck but either do this or get a JDM engine package swapped into your car.

Have a leakdown test performed. A compression test is a good idea as well. They tell you exactly what is going on with your engine.
