ok so i just rebuilt the motor in my car cause it had 170000 miles on it and the trany blew. now its back in the car and i was wondering where you fill the tranny with tranny oil. is it the thing on the top with the black rubber cap? and how much do you put in it? i feel really dumb asking but i honestly just dont know.

its on the side of the tranny (passenger side) theres to plugs w/ a square hole, top one is to fill bottom one is to drain

this is for a gen 3 but i think its the same transmission for a gen 2 tranny fluid

what the heck is a crushed washer?

its an aluminum washer or even brass. just like your engine oil drain plug

it's a one use washer, when you tighten it down to the torque specs, the washer squishes, creating a seal. every time you undo the plug, you are supposed to put a new crush washer on.

i never change it, just put sealent on the threads and put the washer and plug back in

oh yea and fill the tranny up untill it starts to spill out and put the plug back in.. u want the fluid level w/ the bottom of that top plug

i think im going to go with the mtl redline... or is their something better

redline is good, or honda fluid
