Just like I was #11... both boosted, both in mill creek... I'm 99% positive the same person/group stole our cars.

BTW, picked up a new car... 07 Si... yay for k-series ;)

Mirco Chip key.

they reasons the that integras are stolen is becasue you can just use a grounded down honda key and wiggle into an older acura/honda and it will open it and start it. the little pins in the lock get wore out after time, which makes them very loose.

what makes it so much harder to steal?
The factory immobilizer is really damn good.

yeah but weren't the 01's equipped with a factory immobilizer and it still hit #9 and the most stolen, it always made me feel like my car was a little safer along with all the other layers.

^ '02, you mean? .. I dunno though, never saw it that high on any list.

... I wouldn't doubt it though, scary.

EDIT: ... Wait you're talking the the "immobilizer" key-chip thing that was on the G3 tegs? ... I think it was both '00 & '01 Gen3's. Either way, that was a COMPLETELY different system than we have on our DC5's. The new ones are FAR superior in several ways.

Yeah thats what I was talking about but there was no key chip, the immobilizer was built into the ecu
