I'm about to buy a teg with a 00' b18c swap and the kid told me it was running rich because he was running obd2 with no secondary o2 sensor and if i switch to obd1 my problems should go away. does this make sense? I think he said he was running a p2p 96+ ecu which is obd2. do i have to put the p72 in there or just get the other o2 sensor

EDIT!! he said hes runnin a jdm p72 everything is clean on the swap but the ecu!!

idk if this even makes sense.

thanks ti

if the engine is stock then it should be ran with the matching stock ecu.

running an ecu from a different car will cause the engine to perform improperly, because its been told its something else. if that makes sense.

*to make things short if its a stock 00 gsr motor run it with a stock 00 gsr ecu*
