i am currently running eibach pro-kit with tokiko blues...i am happy with this setup but i want to be dropped a little lower for a more agressive look. i am pretty much set on the H&R race springs...am i going to need to get better shocks to handle this low of a drop, or will i be able to keep the tokiko blues...i ask this because ive heard from several people that the shocks will hold up, and some say they will blow due to the larger drop from the springs...any help or suggestions will be apreciated.

also if anyone has any pics of the h&r race spings on ther teg id like to see that.i will also be running 16 inch rims with 205/45/16 tires on them.

Lowering your car 2.0" front and 1.75" rear and possibly a little bit more from the springs settling in... Would not be the most idle situation because your just eating more suspension travel... Which of course would make the shocks easier to blow out. Even Koni off the shelf sports would possibly blow out.

Heres some more information

The stock shocks have almost 5" in travel in the front and a little over 5.5" in the rear.

So at static ride height I think you only have about 3" of travel not including hte bumpstop which is another 1" - 1 1/2" So your limiting yourself unless you shorten the shocks..

The rears sounds like it would be fine.

so the shocks will hold up just as well as anyother shock out ther...ie the tokiko blues will compare to the koni yellows and not make much difference other then the control settings?
As far as controlling the springs better, Koni's would offer you a better range of adjustment for how you drive or how you want the car to handle.
