Well from looking at your info you have a B18B1 in your car so i would go turbo all the way!!!!!
you shouldn't just give a recommendation without even knowing what he's expecting out of his set up.

if you drag race, a turbo would be a better fit. if you autoX, a SC. but we're going to need more information from you in order to give more insightful advice...

if you want my 100% honest advice, and this is in no way trying to be rude, but dont even think of buying either one right now if you are asking this question? F/I is alot of money and to just ask what all of us would get w/o any other information shows that you really dont know. which is ok. but that is alot of money to be throwing into something which you dont know about. like a few have already suggested read the articles, go through the F/I forum and see what some of those guys have to say. learn everything about F/I so you can make this decision on your own, its your money and i think you should be the moest knowledgable about your purchase. if you still have specific quesions after reading the articles and cant find the answers, then by all means ask as many questions as you want and im sure just about everyone here will be more than willing to help you. good luck and happy reading.

Hootb18 is 100% dead on. I'd just like to add to simple thign sto the quation, a starting point if you will:

1. A turbo can be made to produce peak power, the bigger the turbo, the more power, but alos the longer the wait.
2. A supercharger doesn't have anywhere near the lag a turbo does, so it takes off quicker.

if your doing this for the biggest tiem slips I suggest takign a look around, and watch who goes faster time wise out of the forced induction. Also keep in mind that the further youg etinto these items the more you realize how much you put in compared to its gain.

a quality install and proper tuning shouldn't damage your engine at all. general stress related wear will occur, but that's what proper maintenance and tuning is supposed to take care of.

yeah, no matter which one you get, as long as you tune it, they both will probably do the same amount of wear and tear on your engine...

i believe that a turbo will put out more power, compared to a S/c if you were runnin' the same amount of boost on both applications...but i'm no expert to say it's true

i have a turbo and it is just fine for a daily driver...i've never felt the power of a s/c but my turbo doesn't feel like it has that much of a lag off the line...

if turbo and an SC were running the same boost?

Well that all depends on how much Air can be moved by the trubo and the SC. There is boost, but there is also airflow. Please keep in mind turbos are known more for peak hp numbers then the amount of speed they ad to the car, at least that's what i see from numbers.

You will never find anyone here to aggree which is better ! This DEBATE is old deep and too varible to get any-one setup that says one is better than the other. I suggest take the advice of HootB18 and just research on your own.

Good luck !

a lot of the people that i know that have superchargers use them for street races and 1/8 mile races. since it has no lag and gives you instant boost. If you go to the strip a lot or do a lot of highway racing, then i'd go turbo, but like everyone else is saying, turbo requires more 'preping'. its all about where you want your power and how you race.
