Is it true that the black steelies for the 3rd gen. integ weigh 16 pounds? I checked on wheelweights.net and it said they were. And also, does anyone know the weight of the Si wheels? I want to get a set of stocks but don't know which is the lightest wheel out GSR/LS/Si rims.

I believe the mesh style LS/GS rims (00-01) are the lightest at 15 lbs each. (and the best looking in my opinion).

Which is the reason I decided against aftermarket rims altogether.

Let's see - free, attractive and lightweight.

Versus a set of attractive and almost as lightweight aftermarket rims for upwards of $3-4 grand canadian (no tires).

It wasn't a tough decision.

I agree. I know someone on here has Si wheels and it looked clean. I imagine they wouldn't be that heavy, probably 15-16lbs. I like the look of 'em.

Uhhhh 15lbs is NOT lightweight by any means. Compare it to 9lb rims...and thats a big difference...

No offense pedrum, but you always seem to have a completely ridiculous reply.

15 lbs isn't exactly heavy... Also, how much are these 9 lb rims you speak of? Do you own a pair?

As for cheap lightweight, you want to go for Konig Heliums at 11.34lbs or some Rota's.

I assume this was without tires, right? Any idea how much they were with tires?

My stock 14" Acura alloy rims weighed in at about 28lbs WITH tires, which is pretty light. I'll eventually get the tires taken off so I can weigh them.

Oddly enough, with my 11lb lightweight wheels, I gained 4lbs... Kumho tires are heavy...

You think that's bad? My rims are 7lbs. lighter than the stock ones, and I only ended up saving 2.5lbs. per corner after tires.

BTW: I have 9lb. rims, and they didn't exactly cost me a fortune.

Too bad they're not the same bolt pattern.

What do you mean no offense... how was my reply ridiculous? 15 lbs is NOT lightweight when there are rims out there that come in at 11 lbs, 9 lbs and so on. And i'm talking about rims that are 15" same as most of the stock ones.

Who cares if I own a pair what's the relevance..do you own some konig heliums or rotas? steelie boy.

louse does have heliums. and i don't have steelies anymore either. my rims weigh the same as 15 incher, but totaled with rims and tires, my new ones are lighter than the steelies, i don't know by how much, but lifting both it is obvious that the new ones are lighter but are 16", not 14".

well, looks are subjective, i do like a lot of the stock rims, but i have seen a lot of aftermarket that i like and a lot i dislike, but any rims are better than my rusty steelies
