There is a rod that goes from the back of the clutch pedal into the firewall. Try spraying at that point.

WD-40 isn't going to last long, so you may want to try silicone spray. If it doesn't go away, your master cylinder might be leaking.

I had the same thing happen to me on my 96 Mazda 626. The dealer said he couldn't do anything but I found that hard to believe. There has to be a way. StyleTeg is right, WD-40 doesnt last long.

I had that happening. it went away for 2 days with WD40, then I tried this grease stuff that my dad had in the garage (works for Esso, so we always have that kind of stuff around ;)) and its been gone for a week.

yea well it doesn't sound good when you're at a stop and disengaging the clutch makes it sound like a piece...

Hi,

I am now having the same problem and I was wondering how successful those methods mentioned above were. Also, please excuse my ignorance but "behind the clutch pedal into the fire wall" is where? Is that under the hood or just above the pedal in the interior of the car?

Thanks

Its not the cold weather. It just started to happen last night and last night was one of the warmest nights in like 2 months.

So where is this "above clutch pedal into the firewall"?
