Would a stock 99GSR TB "stock size" on a Skunk2 IM make a weird whistle under %20 throttle and
-190-270mm/Hg vaccum. I'm getting a loud and anoying whistlefrom either the TB or IM. Everything is torqued to spec, new gaskets, but i can't figure out the whistle.

please help...

I had a 93 GS. Bought the skunk2 im as well. Had the same whistle as your talking about. It is not a leak. It is normal. It is from the size of the tb to plenum of the im. Call Skunk2 if you have anymore ?'s.

all aftermarket intake manifolds (including stock) will whistle on the Integra. It's normal, don't be alarmed.

My friend has a VENOM IM on his teg and his whistle is LOUD and ear-piercing.

well the mating surfaces don't align on a 60 mm bore TB and the 64mm plenum port bore surfaces and it's hard to get the TB to seal up in most cases. If you are losing vacuum there, then you may want to try what I did: used liquid gasket and wiped off the excess inside the TB once the TB was bolted on.

The flange gasket, EVAP, fuel injectors-fuel rail, PCV valve are other whistling vacuum loss sources. I'd just go through each of those one by one systematically and eliminate the suspects as the cause. Make sure you use Honda's torque down specs and check the hose connections.

Not this again.

The whistle is coming from the TB plate. I've found this using a automotive stethiscope that you can buy at any Pep Boys. Also, the whistle is louder the cleaner your TB is, not much though.

I thought a lager TB might get rid of this. IT DIDN'T. I went from a GSR to a ITR TB.

Maybe it'll go away when i get TB,manifold, and headwork done this winter. Probably not though.

Some people say if you use a short ram you don't get the whistle. Can't say from first hand experience though.

Adjusting the screw on the THROTTLE BODYhelps a little, but didnt solve mine.

Learn to ignore this embarrasing whistle, and when people ask... Reply with different but interesting lies.

"Oh that's the sound of an empty nitrous bottle."
"It's just my super charger."
"What whistle, I don't hear anything."
