Hey i just installed dc sports short shifter but its really sough when i shift what i do wrong?

what exactly does "sough" mean, is it really rough, does it feel like ur grinding gears?

gen2 or gen3 integra..

Well its everytime i move the shifter and its a gen 3 not grinding just rough to get it around.

Did you use lube for the bushings?

Did you bolt everything nice and tight?... did you get new bushings? Buy some polyurethane bushings, it really helped on my teg..

yeah did all that someone said i bolted the bottom end of the shifter to tight is that true

unless you can exceed the 43ft/lbs while laying on yuor back under the car you did not over tighten the bolt. alot of short shifters came with not so great berings. this can be changed by going to a roller blade shop and getting 2 abec 7 bearings. this will result in smoother shifting with less resistanse

I had this problem as well. I figure that I must have over-torqued them. I haven't gotten under the car to correct the problem yet, that would require work. But I'm pretty sure that I just overtorqued them.

And 43 ft.lbs is the correct torqueage?
