ok my indiglo emblems recently got stolen, they used a key so naturally there's a mark. i would put my stock emblems back on but i'd need to get it painted anyways, so i figure might as well shave them, as to avoid this problem in the future. i know shaving is expensive, so would it be possible to shave them myself? and then get it painted at a shop. is this something i can handle, bearing in mind i have absolutely no experience with body work, and what steps do u have to take

Don't use Bondo. Use fiberglass.Much better than Bondo. It has a less chance of cracking. The correct way would be to weld the holes up.Pretty simple procedure if have acess to a good MIG welder.

all my emblems front and back are all gone, they did an EXCELLENT job, and they did a good job on paint too..my cousin took it in so im not sure but if i remember right it was less than $400 to paint trunk lid and front end
BTW make sure when they paint the front they detach it, its a much nicer job that way u can tell

Look man just go to CAP or AutoZone and get some Bondo, Hardener cream, and sand paper. Mix a little bit of bundo with the hardener cream until it all turns light pink, slap it on with a little pallet. Let it dry and sand it till it turns gray and its all leveled. Now you either get some touch up paint and clear coat, (the code for the paint on the driver's door. Or you can take it to a bodyshop and paint it. I did that with the panel that covers the trunk behind the back seats.

i shaved my front. all i did was get this thing from bondo(forgot the name). it wasnt ur regular bondo, it was made for plugging holes. it was red instead of pink when mixed. now if the rear holes are the same size as the front, it should be a piece of cake. even w/ regular bondo, the holes are so small its not likely gonna crack especially w/ paint or primer on it. just mix it, apply it, dry it, sand it, primer it in the meantime(or apply touchup paint) then get your paint at a shop(sorry, but this is basically what el moreno said). i mite of left out some details, but u get the idea. oh yea everything would cost u no more than 20 bucks(excluding painting at a shop of course).
