I've gotten a couple hints and pointers on how to fix this but none seem to cure the problem. My seatbelt alarm has a mind of its own and beeps whenever it wants and sometimes will not stop for minutes/hours. Suggestions or a cure would be greatly appreciated.
seatbelts are garented for life by acura, my seatbelt was doing the same thing, i took it to the garage and they replaced the whole seatbelt and motor and fixed the beeping.
The seatbelts are warrantied for life, and I imagine the dealer will fix this problem free of charge. If you unplug the connectors to the seatbelt switch/switches that are under the seats the lights/beeper should be deactivated. I am not sure exactly what the beeper setup is on a '92 GS.
on gen 2's there is a connector under each of the front seats. If this connector gets unplugged your dash light comes on and there is a annoying beeping. If there is no beepping then it might be broken or the fuse might be bad. Since you have a intermitent beep then I would say that the connector under one of the seats is loose and therefore makes the beep. Under hard braking in my second gen, the connector (which is worn from unplugging it to pull the seats out so often) actually comes unpluged. That starts a beeping and I have to stop and plug it back in.
