Alright...check these pics out...i've got all the bolts out that are anywhere near the center of the turbo..and I cannot move it one bit! I can't spin the exhaust housing either....anyone have any suggestions for me ?
the pics don't work. you do not need to take the bolts out to rotate the housings. i was able to rotate them by loosening the bolts. you must be missing a few bolts if its not turning. try and fix those pics
I think that's a jack screw. You use it to push off the housing. Keep torquing and it will push against the oil inlet/exit boss. Eventually it will pop the turbine housing off. Hope I'm referring to the right bolt.
Well, the one bolt by the oil inlet...I cranked and cranked on it lasnight as it pushed against the inlet...but, to no avail so far. I wasn't using a very big wrench to get a lot of leverage...so that might've be holding me back...just thought I would keep this up to date.
I got mine off with a regular open end box wrench (13mm, I recall). I keep at it. It did put a pretty big debit on the boss surface. But it eventually popped off.
