Ok I have a t3/t4 turbo and some ross pistons do I really need new rods for the turbo set up if I am going to be running 6 psi when driving around town and stuff and 12 only when racing?
Yes
Besides, think of how much more it will cost if you end up snapping a rod. Last thrown rod I saw decided to exit via the side of the block. What are you doing about block support?
it is pretty common to have the rod go through the block, or if your very lucky just go through the oil pan.
anyway you can't really re use your oem rods in there right now, since you need to take the rods/pistons to a michine shop to get them seperated. doing that puts alot of stress on the rods, and makes them more likly to snap. brand new eagle rods are about the same cost as brand new oem honda rods....go figure
How much stronger are the Eagle H-beam rods over stock? I plan on a nice powerful turbo setup here coming up (somewhere in the 400HP range max hopefully). Thx.
