I have done the necessary searches, but still my question lies unanswered! What is the difference between the Icebox and the stock air box with the resonator removed. I understand the concept/benefits of the short ram associated with the icebox, but what causes the Icebox to prevent hydrolock? And, does the stock airbox with the resonator gone, act the same as the icebox?

For some reason all the dynos I've seen with the resonator removed did not have good results. Some of them even lost power from stock. I don't have one of the Icebox and resonator removed back to back though.

Thanks for the dyno charts surfer!

Does any one know what it is with the icebox that makes it prevent hydrolock?

the air inlet isn't far inside the wheel-well like the AEM/Injen
