Ok, I know that the JDM Type R hatch has no rear wiper. And I believe that there is some sort of plug you can buy that would allow you to get rid of the rear wiper and plug up the hole.

My questions is:

If there is such a plug, would it fit a Gen 2?

You should be able to get it from the dealership...I know a few people who have done it.

mmm, I haven't had my teg in winter yet... we'll see soon.

anyways I think the 3g teg looks "cleaner" without it, but I don't want to lose it. in heavy rains or morning dew or whatever it comes in handy... thus I keep mine. just wish it was intermitent.

You can get the plug off an older style civic hatchback, I think a DX is the one. They don't have rear wipers they just have a plug that fits perfectly onto ours. No need to buy one, just yank one off any old civic you see.

after you've done it once, it would only take about 20 minutes to take off... i've never put it back on, but installation is the reverse of removal... so probably about the same amount of time... check my profile to get a pic of it...
