I recently undertook the well hated rear motor mount replacement job and i have discovered that 2 of the 3 bolts on the bracket holding the mount were MISSING which is what I suspect has created a huge jerk when moving and changing gears, does anybody know the specs of the two upper bolts or are they the exact same as the lower, help appreciated!:) as this issue is become unbearable

I'm editing this post because I keep assuming that this site only shows me questions from the Gen 3 forum, but that really isn't the case. The information below for a gen 3 model. I don't know if it corresponds with any of the others.

Of the 4 bolts that go through the bracket, the upper bolt on the firewall side is the one that actually goes through the mount, so yes, missing that bolt will allow quite a bit of engine movement.

The upper bolts are not the same as the lowers. The two upper bolts as M12x1.25. The one that mounts the bracket to the engine is 65 mm long (less important if you have the two larger ones), and the one that goes through the mount is 100 mm long. And in case anyone else reading is wondering, the lower bolts are M14x1.5.

Just to clarify, the bracket on which the mount seats into has 4 bolts and the top two out of four are M12x1.25. and they are 65 mm long?
