i've been reading on other forums where they talk about "over torquing" used head bolts. their definition of over torque is to torque to spec, loosen them slightly and re-torque the head bolts. what do you guys think?? there is one guy that claims to have done this to a set of head bolts three times and had no problems..should i give it a try or just buy new ones?
Thanks,
Kurt

I'd just re-use them and torque them to factory spec.

They aren't TTY bolts so you can re-use them despite what some people say.
Exactly right, the Helms manual doesn't say to replace them either. Didn't replace mine and all is fine here.
